‘Fortress’ Corporate Office is Dead

The businessinsider website posted an article about a presentation by Henry Chesbrough at the World Economic Forum in June in which he argues that the days of corporations hiding behind barbed wire and security guards on suburban campuses are over.  Chesbrough said that the unrestricted flow of knowledge accelerates innovation and is dramatically changing corporations around the world.  With knowledge now widely distributed, Chesbrough maintained that companies will flounder if they rely entirely on their own research.
