Open Innovation and Business Models for SMEs

The Big Innovation Centre announced that there will be a presentation by Professor Solomon Darwin of the Berkeley Innovation Forum on May 3.  Dr. Darwin will discuss how open innovation looks at the adaptation of current business models by embracing ideas and technology from outside of the organization. Through adopting this model, organizations can bring innovations to market more quickly and at less expense, securing a competitive advantage. Innovation often happens at the edge of markets and is a great source of opportunity for SMEs. Embracing open innovation can help SMEs to build positive relationships and opportunities with large firms.
